Under Mike’s leadership, LandTek has secured projects for thousands of clients ranging from colleges, universities, professional sports teams, public school districts, private schools, municipalities and private organizations throughout the east coast.
In 1979, after many years as a landscape and tree care expert, Mike founded The LandTek Group. Over time, Mike expanded his expertise into turf care and athletic fields, which brought LandTek into the specialized industry of athletic field construction. Always forward thinking, Mike recognized the need for improvement in the industry and began researching the new synthetic turf playing surfaces that were entering the market. Recognizing that the new turf designs were safer for the athletes and more cost effective to the field owners, Mike led LandTek into the synthetic turf market, LandTek has overseen and constructed more than half a billion dollars’ worth of athletic fields, allowing LandTek to become the largest installer of synthetic turf on the east coast. Mike has acted as a consultant on numerous jobs for architects and engineers, where his expertise has proven invaluable. Mike’s proficiency, capability and motivation have driven The LandTek Group to become the top builder of athletic facilities in the United States.
