Project Overview
This publicly bid project involved the conversion of an existing natural grass stadium field to a new synthetic turf surface. Construction was accomplished under a very aggressive schedule during peak summer vacation/seasonal tourism season which made getting materials, manpower and equipment delivered to this barrier island resort town very challenging. Work began in summer of 2016 was completed late summer 2016.
The project involved substantial earthwork to construct an extensive underground storm water management system along with the installation of a state of the art new multi-sport synthetic turf surface. Included in the conversion were new football goal posts and soccer goal systems.
