Project Overview
This publicly bid project for the much needed renovation of the existing Andre Reed Stadium broke ground and was completed in 2017, in time for the commencement of the universities NCAA Division II fall sports season.
The project involved complete removal and replacement of existing synthetic turf field and stone base to improve athlete safety along with existing drainage issues. Included in the stadium overhaul was removal and replacement of synthetic track surfacing, necessary patching of asphalt receiving surface, new ACO trench drain system along with reconfiguration of D-zone area and surface events layout. The facility overhaul also called for the installation of new ball stopper safety netting system and construction of new satellite track field events outside the stadium footprint.
